Collection consists of: Four letters, 1932, in which Nolde and Hebestreit, an editor of the Herder publishing house, discuss the purpose of a request by Hebestreit to the photographer Albert Renger-Patzsch concerning photographic reproduction of some of the painter's religious paintings; a letter, 1937 Nov. 10, from Nolde to Hebestreit mentioning the whereabouts of two of his religious paintings and critically comments on the display of numerous works by Nolde at the degenerate art exhibition in Munich.
